About Ed’s Embroidery
Ed’s Embroidery is a family-run, veteran-owned business rooted in pride, perseverance, and the belief that everyone deserves the opportunity to bring their ideas to life — even if they only need one.
Over ten years ago in Madera, California, Ed Medina found himself searching for a simple custom embroidered hat. As a proud father wanting to represent his daughter’s dedication to sports, he designed a hat that held personal meaning. However, shop after shop turned him away due to minimum order requirements. While those policies made sense for many businesses, the experience left him surprised that something so meaningful could not be created simply because he didn’t need a bulk order.
Instead of giving up, that moment sparked something bigger.
Motivated by the idea that no one should be turned away for wanting to create something personal, Ed decided to learn embroidery himself. What started as a desire to make one hat soon became a mission to offer others the same opportunity — whether they needed one piece or one hundred. Working full time while building the business on evenings and weekends, Ed and his wife dedicated countless hours to learning, improving, and perfecting their craft. With patience, persistence, and a strong belief in quality workmanship, Ed’s Embroidery steadily grew through word of mouth and local support.
For more than a decade, the business remained a true family effort. Every order represented more than just apparel — it represented someone’s team, business, event, memory, or personal achievement. Each design carried meaning, and that responsibility was never taken lightly.
After retiring and facing several serious health challenges, including heart attacks, Ed’s determination remained strong. Seeing both the value of what had been built and the opportunity for growth, his son joined the business to help carry the vision forward. Together, they began working toward expanding Ed’s Embroidery beyond the local community and into the online space, allowing more people to access custom embroidery without the limitations that once stood in Ed’s own way.
Today, Ed’s Embroidery continues to operate with the same principles it was founded on: quality craftsmanship, honest service, and respect for every customer’s idea — whether it’s a single custom piece or a large order. Being family-run means every design is handled with care, every request is treated with importance, and every finished product represents the pride behind the name.
What began as one father’s determination to create a single meaningful hat has grown into something much more — an opportunity for others to proudly wear what matters most to them.
At Ed’s Embroidery, every stitch tells a story.
